Pony play: posture, gait and a trainer with a crop

Pony play is a roleplay between consenting adults in which the submissive becomes a pony and the Mistress becomes his trainer or owner. It borrows the vocabulary of equestrian sport, from tack and turnout to gait and the show ring, and applies all of it to a person. No animal is involved in any way. The pony is a man playing a role, and the trainer is a woman who enjoys shaping him.

Men who play it usually call themselves ponyboys, or simply ponies. The persona differs from other pet roles in one way above all: a pony is proud. Where a pup is eager to please, a pony is spirited, strong and somewhat vain about his form, and the trainer's job is to channel that spirit into discipline rather than crush it.

Pony play is the most athletic corner of femdom. It asks for posture held for minutes, knees lifted to the same height step after step, and a stillness at the halt that takes real concentration. For many ponies that effort is the pleasure: the body is given a standard, the standard is Hers, and meeting it feels closer to sport than to worship.

• Hoof mitts: padded gloves shaped like hooves that take away the use of your fingers.
• Tail: a plume of synthetic hair clipped to the back of the waist belt, often the first piece a new pony buys.
• Her kit: riding boots, jodhpurs, a fitted show jacket, a stopwatch and a crop whose snap you will learn to answer before She says a word.

A pony session is a training session. It opens with an inspection of turnout, which on cam means you describe it in your message beforehand: harness buckled, boots polished, tail straight. Then come the drills.
