Chastity apps and timer locks: what they do and where they stop

Chastity apps are phone tools that put a timer, a code or a set of tasks between you and the key: they count down a lock, pick a random end time, hold a combination or ask for check-ins. They cannot see your skin, notice a warning sign or be pleased with you, which is why some wearers prefer a live keyholder.

At a glance

  • Keyholding tools come in a few general kinds: timer locks, random-duration locks, code or combination holders, check-in and task trackers, and shared controls that a second person holds.
  • A tool can keep time and keep a log; it cannot see your skin, notice a warning sign or tell you to unlock, so the emergency release stays with you whatever any timer says.
  • Never put your only key behind an app or a timed container: phones fail, so keep a spare key you can reach in seconds, and unlock at once for numbness, pain, a change of colour or swelling.
  • This page names no apps and makes no claim about the security of any of them; before you rely on one, read what it stores about you and how to delete it.
  • A live keyholder adds a person who decides and reads your report; with one of our own Mistresses that runs on written messages, because a private is one-way and messages carry text only.

What a chastity app is

A chastity app is software that sits between you and the key to your lock. The lock itself is hardware, so the app's job is to decide when you may open it, to remember what you promised or to remind you of the rules. Some are built for one person alone, some for sharing with a partner or keyholder, and many are simply diaries with a counter.

This page describes the categories in general terms. It names no apps, reviews none and makes no claim about the security of any of them, because tools change, disappear and are rebuilt, and a review that went out of date would be worse than none.

The kinds of tool, in general

Most tools do one or more of these jobs:

  • Timer locks: you set a duration and the tool counts down. Because you chose the length, the decision is still yours.
  • Random-duration locks: you give a range and the tool picks the end without telling you, so uncertainty does the work.
  • Code or combination holders: the tool stores the combination of a lock, or a passcode, and reveals it only when the timer ends or a task is done.
  • Verification tasks: a check-in, a typed confirmation or, in some tools, a photograph, to show that you are still locked.
  • Shared controls: a partner or keyholder holds the controls, sets the time, adds days or presses release.
  • Logs and trackers: day counters, streaks and notes. They control nothing, but they keep the record.
  • Connected devices: hardware that links to a phone. They add a battery and a signal to the list of things that can fail.

What a tool does well

A timer is a steady companion while it works: it counts without being asked, and it spares you the daily haggle with yourself about whether today is the day. It asks nothing of anyone else, which suits a wearer who wants privacy from other people altogether. A log is useful under any arrangement: a day count, the dates of hygiene unlocks and a line about how the device felt are exactly what a written report needs.

Where tools stop

The first limit is the body. A timer does not know how your skin looks and cannot tell you to unlock; only you can, and no countdown overrides numbness, pain, a change of colour or swelling. The second is failure: batteries run flat, updates go wrong, accounts lock and services close, so a lock whose only key is inside a tool can become an emergency. Keep a spare key within arm's reach, or choose a device that you or a medic could cut off in a hurry.

The third limit is how much weight a tool can carry. How firmly any particular one holds depends on how it is built and how you use it, which this page cannot judge, so treat a tool as a convenience rather than a guarantee. Photograph checks add a further trade, because they ask you to hand intimate pictures to a service; read what any tool stores, where, and how you delete it before you use it.

The last limit is the human one. A tool applies the rule you gave it and does not change its mind. It will not say that tonight is not the night, and it will not be pleased or disappointed. Some wearers find that restful, and others find it is the whole problem.

Why some people want a live keyholder instead

A person decides where a tool only carries out. A Mistress can tell you the lock stays another week, add a task, ask in a message how the last one went, and let Her approval or Her displeasure matter to you. You are known: somebody expects your Sunday report and will notice if it is missing. That attention is what an app cannot supply, and it is what some wearers mean when they say they want a keyholder rather than a timer.

Be clear about what you are not getting. With one of our own Mistresses She cannot see your device or you, so She cannot confirm that you are locked. What you gain is a person, not proof.

How online keyholding works here

Here is the path from first look to first term, using only what the site offers:

  1. Find Her: start from the chastity tag in the browse view, then spend time in a public room, which is mostly free to enter. A message typed into the room's chat reaches Her there.
  2. Agree terms: in a message, which carries text only, or by hearing Her read them aloud in a one-way private. Write them out and send your copy back; the chastity rules guide has a sample list.
  3. Settle the keys: you keep them, sealed with a numbered tamper seal whose number you report, or inside a timed container with a separate emergency key you can reach.
  4. Report in writing: on the day and hour you agreed. No photographs, video or files can be sent.
  5. Pay as you go: each private is charged by the minute at Her own rate in US dollars, from a site balance you top up in BTC, ETH, BNB, USDT or USDC, and any tribute is credited to Her site balance, of which She keeps at least 70%.
  6. Add a camera only if you want one: cam2cam is on sale only in the LiveJasmin partner rooms marked ↗, as an extra charged in that site's credits.

Using an app and a keyholder together

The two are not rivals. An app can count your hygiene window, hold your log and remind you of the Sunday report while a person sets the rules and the ending. What it must never do is hold your only key or overrule a warning sign, and the same goes for a timed container. The femdom tasks guide shows what a keyholder usually sets between sessions, and the Locktober guide shows how a month-long lock can run.

Questions people ask

What do chastity apps do?

Most keep time or hold a code. Timer locks count down a duration you set, random locks choose the end for you, code holders keep a combination until the timer ends, and task or check-in tools ask you to confirm that you are still locked. None can see your skin or release you safely; that duty always stays with you.

Is a keyholding app enough on its own?

For a short, simple lock, many people find it is. For anything longer it should never be the only safeguard: a phone can run flat, an account can fail, and a countdown knows nothing about numbness, pain, a change of colour or swelling. Keep a spare key you can reach, and unlock the moment your body gives a warning.

What is the difference between a chastity app and a keyholder?

An app applies a rule you gave it; a keyholder makes the rule and reads how you kept it. An app is there at any hour and answers to nobody. A Mistress adds decisions, attention and a report written for a real reader, though with ours She cannot see the device, since privates are one-way and messages carry no photos.

Can I use an app and a Mistress together?

Yes, as a clock and a log. Let the app count your hygiene window or remind you of the weekly report, and let the Mistress set the rules and the ending. Do not lock your only key behind it, and do not let it overrule a warning sign. The emergency release is yours, whatever the app or the rules say.

What does an online keyholder cost compared with an app?

This page does not quote app prices. A Mistress names Her own rate, and each private is charged by the minute in US dollars from a balance you top up in crypto, while a public room is mostly free to enter. A tribute for holding a term is agreed with Her beforehand and credited to Her site balance, of which She keeps at least 70%.

What should I check before using any keyholding app?

Check what it stores about you and how you delete it, whether a lock can be ended early, and what happens if the service closes or your phone fails. Keep an emergency key outside the app, and share as few personal details as you can. No timer should ever overrule your own judgement about a warning sign.
